  • 1st academic year
  • 2nd academic year
  • 3rd academic year

Roundtable debates of MA and PhD students are dedicated to the presentation of seminar papers and discussions on various issues about musical identities in European perspective, with a view to identify the most provocative subjects belonging to  this area of studies.

Depending on the interest of students, topics may include: “unity in diversity“ and musical identities, musical genres (opera – between revolution and nation), interdisciplinary approach to crossroads of European cultural history, perspective on styles (especially avant-garde and postmodernism), biographical spots and compositional strategies, popular music (Eurovision).

After the end of the debate, each student receives a certificate of satisfactory completion of the Jean Monnet Module “Musical identities and European Perspective: an Interdisciplinary Approach”.

The best student’s seminar papers, submitted each year at roundtable debate, would be available via website.
